Revolutions bowling alley entertainment venue opens at CityPlace Friday night.

After a 5:30 p.m. ribbon cutting and VIP function, the 35,000-square-foot club opens at 8 p.m. to the general public. After 10 p.m. each night, Revolutions switches to a 21-and-over joint, and will be open until 2 a.m. Saturday. Proceeds go to Little Smiles of Florida.

“We are so happy to anchor the north end of CityPlace, and feel like this is an ideal venue for this product,” Frank Entertainment Companies CEO Bruce Frank stated in a news release. “We intend to exceed everyone’s expectations on Friday and to deliver the finest entertainment and dining experience with every visit to Revolutions.”

You may catch sight of Frank this weekend. He’s been at the venue for the past couple of weeks getting the finishing touches done. It has dining offerings in the lounge, overlook area and restaurant dining rooms, and multiple stages for a variety of musical and entertainment events.

“Revolutions at CityPlace is really at the top of its game, so it’s exciting,” he said.

The Frank company headquarters are in Jupiter and the family-owned companies have been growing, with theaters and now bowling alleys up and down the East Coast. Frank’s company opened Cinegrille and Bowl at Delray Marketplace last year, featuring a movie theater and bowling alley wrapped around a restaurant. But in 2013, the company opened seven locations, including three IMAXes, and renovated two theaters it owned.

The venue took an extra year to build. But is poised to add a whole new component of entertainment to CityPlace, which has shifted more of its mix into the dining and entertainment business.

Revolutions has a full-service restaurant and two bars in addition to the bowling alley.
